AH! Hello, Adventurer!

Hey, guys! I'm sorry this took so long to get set up, but here it is. A post for you guys to come up with Side-Quests for this setting.

It seems as though the recent events have started changing the residents of Haven's attitudes towards the FluxedIns. They're now curious as to why they'd be targeted like they were during the Glitch attack, and are now interested in everyone. Attempts at pick-pocketing and starting fights are lessened, as are dirty looks and the general mistrust the residents have been treating the visitors to for the past few weeks, and now some of them are going to start asking for help for a variet of things.

From small things like "my grandmother left behind a diary when she died, and it's very important to me! can you help me find it?" To bigger, more dangerous things like finding the collar of a beloved pet that was eaten by Skitters out in the desert. The range of requests can be wide and varied. And, as it is in almost every multi-player online game we've ever played, entirely repeatable by others.

Odd, right? Because didn't you just help Old Man Whitlock find eight Spike Mellons in the desert outside of Haven, yesterday? And now your friend is doing it today?

We have a few ideas for Side-Quests for the group, and they can be done at any time. We just love the idea of participation and help from our players, so we're asking you guys to come up with some side quests too!

Please note: while doing these side-quests, not only are the levels of danger varied, but the people making these requests will never bother to learn anyone's name. Everyone's 'Adventurer', 'Traveler' or 'Stranger', but they're eternally grateful that you helped them.

If you have an idea of a side-quest, please post it below using the handy form!

Thanks, guys! You're a delight!

Quest-Giver and their location: Mabel the Spike-Melon Chef, located in the merchant dome near the entrance.
Their Request: Spike Melon's are in season and Mabel just happens to know how to tur them not only into several nutritional meals of questionable flavor, but into some very valuable medication. But there's a problem: Mabel has broken her leg and can't go into the desert to harvest the melons she needs. That's where you come in. She needs ten Spike-melons and they're outside the walls of Haven, growing just outside of the territory of a pack of Skitters. And wouldn't you know, it also just happens to be the breeding season for the skitters.
Level of Danger: Medium/Medi-High. Yeah, you could die, but! There are those VitaPoints to revive at, and you won't lose progress if you do die. You just have to walk back to the Spike Melon grove and go hunting again.
Other Notes: Spike-Melons can only be harvested if they're on the ground. Anything else and you risk covering yourself in slightly caustic goo from the broken melon vine. They also look almost exactly like a SKitter egg, giant and green with black spikes and red stripes. There are ways, Mabel says, to tell the melons from the eggs. The eggs have red on green stripes, while the melons have green on red stripes. The eggs also smell awful.

Or...is all that the other way around? (Spoilers: both eggs and melons can smell bad, have red/green on red/green stripes. Pick an egg and face the irritation of a baby Skitter. Or their irritating affection.)

You will recieve, 50 dollars in cash, her mothers recipes for both that medication and the Spike-Melon stew and your reputation within the town might improve just a tad.

This is easily a one-person quest, but take a friend with you. You'll both still get the above rewards.
