IMPORTANT NOTICE!

This is not the Employment page you are looking for. Please check your acceptance comment for the right page, or click here!

Thanks!

Sorry to say it, but you're gonna need a job. You can either get a job at one of the city locations mentioned below, or you can make up one that might fit your character. Just a heads up, you're going to need mod approval for it. But, as long as it's not ridiculous and out-there, you might get the okay for it. Fair warning;, we'd really like to see characters having been in game for a couple months before starting to add businesses.

(Please remember that the setting does run on NPCs so even if a job isn't listed as taken, an NPC has it until an in-game character does.)

The Metroplex:

Sounds like it could be a giant movie theater, but it isn't. This space, while boring on the outside, definitely isn't on the inside and somehow manages to look a little bigger on the inside, too. While this might be cause for suspicion, don't worry. It's just the space being wide open for people to see everything going on and there is a lot to be seen and done in the Metroplex.

Do you like archery? There's a range in there, complete with timed trials and challenges to face.

Video games? There's an arcade in here, too, boasting games from years ago and some newer ones, too. Play ski-ball and get some tickets for some of the amazing prizes at the prize counter. Compete with friends at some of the shooter games or the Dance Your Heart Out stage.

Do you like rock climbing? Trampolines? Zip-lines that lead to deep pits filled with foam blocks? You can do that here, too.

There are batting cages, practice hoops to get that basketball toss JUST right and instructors to help you and teach you if you want to learn something new.

There's even a bowling alley, complete with local leagues and for the teens on Friday and Saturday night, there's Blacklight bowling, complete with fog machines, laser light shows, and chances to show off for that guy or girl you're trying to impress.

AND INTRODUCING: Phoenix Rising Martial Arts. This is where people can learn all manner of martial arts. The senseis are patient. No one will learn anything about striking first or not showing mercy, and karate wars aren't tolerated.
Muay Thai Instructor: Helix
Self Defense Instructor: Bucky Barnes
Mixed Martial Arts Instructor: Dick Grayson
Boxing Instructor: Donna Troy

Metroplex employment:
Archery Instructors (2 Taken/1 Needed): Diana Prince, Alec Lightwood
Rock Climbing Supervisors (1 Taken/1 Needed): Eli 'Hawk' Moskowitz
Arcade Clerks (1 Taken/1 Needed): Samantha LaRusso
Concessions (0 Taken/2 Needed):
Zip Line/Trampoline Park Supervisors (2 taken/0 needed): Harkey Quinn, Michelle "MJ" Jones
Phoenix Rising Senseis: (0 taken/4 needed) Just specify which martial arts your character is teaching.

AND INTRODUCING SIDE-GIGS!

Anyone age fifteen and older can work these. They're essentially courier positions. Sign up to work for SuperWaiter, a company that picks up and delivers food from various places around Wechester and delivers them right to you!

You can also work GoGro, a grocery service that does all of your shopping and delivers your food, or possibly just be a messenger with PostHaste.

Upon signing up for SuperWaiter, you get access to their motorbikes. You also get a backpack designed to carry food and keep it at the perfect temperature! You still have to obey the laws of traffic, and sometimes you'll have to argue with restaurants to get the food right! But the pay isn't half bad, and you can set your own hours. There's even an 'office' in town where couriers can hang out and wait for orders to come in. It looks like it was taken over and decorated by the kids at the local skate-park, but that's fine. Right?

For GoGro, you also get access to a scooter, this one with storage on the back of the bike. Your orders will never be bigger than that storage can carry and somehow, it can carry a lot.

PostHaste provides regular foot-powered bicycles. They're just starting out. You also get a messenger bag to carry things in. Enjoy that!

Emergency Services:

We will never say no to people finding jobs in emergency services. There will always be need for police, fire fighters, doctors and EMTs. We do ask, however, that if it's something your character has never done before, to please consider playing out training even if you have to handwave it for a while. That being said:

EMT/Medical/Firefighters/Law Enforcement:

Hospital Doctors: Jean Grey

Police:

Fire Fighters:
